Year 4 News

Dear Families,

We would like to thank all the families who attended the Students Led conferences last week. All the students in Year 4 were so excited to share their wonderful learning with their families and to celebrate all their hard work they have been doing. If families were unable to attend, students can arrange with their teacher a piece of work they could take home to share and celebrate with their families at home.

Please continue to support your child’s learning at home with the suggestions from the Home Learning page. This helps reinforce what they are learning in class, builds confidence, and encourages positive learning habits. It also gives families a chance to connect over schoolwork and shows children that learning can happen anytime, anywhere. We have included the addition and multiplication strategies we use at school to help support students when practicing their addition and multiplication at home.

Friday the 19th of September is the last day of term. Students will be dismissed at 1:30 on this day. We would also like to remind families and students that term 4 is a sunsmart term, so dust of your hats and caps and have them ready to go for Term 4.

Thank you for your ongoing support!

The Year 4 Team,

Olivia Cameron, Rachel Lindorff, Tanya Saggers, Emily Lloyd, Stacie Buller, Hayley Cottrell

  • A reminder that students should not be taking any packaged food outside during break times, it is unfortunate to see the amount of rubbish in our yard. Students are given time before breaks to eat and should be taking any remaining food items out  to the the Learning Street or in front of the canteen.
  • Please pack a healthy fruit or vegetable snack everyday.
  • Students are encouraged to read every night for 15-20 minutes and log their reading in their diary.
