Year 2 News

Dear Families,

We’ve had a fantastic Term 3 filled with learning, creativity and fun!

In English students explored information texts and experimented with persuasive advertisements, while in Mathematics they built confidence with three digit place value and enjoyed collecting and graphing data. In Wellbeing our focus was on emotional management, where students learned to identify their emotions and practised strategies to help manage both pleasant and unpleasant feelings.

A major highlight of the term was our Investigations project where students designed and created their own sustainable robots, proudly showcasing their ideas through the design process.

Beyond the classroom, we came together to celebrate NAIDOC Week, Book Week, Jeans for Genes Day, and House Colours Day, as well as Emotion Management Week, which encouraged kindness, gratitude, and connection.

A reminder that the last day of Term 3 is Friday 26th September, with an early dismissal at 1:30 pm. We wish all families a safe, happy holiday break and look forward to more learning adventures in Term 4.

• Please pack a healthy fruit or vegetable snack every day for brain food.
• Students have been reminded to fill in their diaries when they read; teachers check diaries daily. 
• Students should be reading every night for at least 15 minutes.
• Term 4 is a sun smart term. Please make sure students have their hats everyday in term 4.
