Year 1 News

Dear Families,

We cannot believe Term 3 has come to an end. What an amazing term it has been. All learning group teachers have seen such a big growth in all students.

Student Led Conferences was such a joy, watching all students share their achievements and learning with you.

Teachers and students had meaningful conversations on R U OK day. We spoke about asking our friends and family if they are ok, listening to them and supporting them to feel better. We also reminded students that it is ok to not feel ok, and that if we feel upset or sad we should speak to a trusted adult.

Throughout this term, students have been working hard on their story writing using Julia Donaldson as inspiration. Students have shown a love of learning when writing a bold beginning, mighty middle and a excellent ending. These stories have been absolutely amazing!

In Mathematics, students have shown a strong understand within measurement when comparing different lengths, masses and capacities.

In Term 4, we have our Full Steam Ahead incursion. Please check Compass to sign the permission form.

We hope everyone has a great break and we can’t wait to see everyone again in Term 4.
