Whitehorse Division Athletics We had a fantastic day at the Whitehorse Division Athletics on Tuesday at Doncaster Aths track! Our 24 students competed in a variety of track & field events, showing outstanding effort and determination throughout the day. As always, we are incredibly proud of the sportsmanship and encouragement displayed by our Rangeview students. Level 5/6 Future Stars Regional Finals
Our Senior Future Stars Girls and Boys teams competed yesterday at the Regional Hoop Time Finals at State Basketball Centre. Thank you to Miss Verrell and Miss Cant for their excellent coaching and to our parents for their amazing support throughout the day.
Our Boys team was narrowly defeated in the final after a very successful day of competition, while our Girls team fought hard all day, showcasing incredible teamwork and team spirit, just missing out on a spot in the finals. Both teams should be incredibly proud of their performance and the way they represented our school with pride.
PE in Term 4
In Term 4 Physical Education, students have been developing their skills across a range of striking and net games, teamwork activities, and fitness challenges. Our Level 3–6 students have particularly enjoyed learning and playing Pickleball during the first fortnight, building their understanding of game tactics, movement, and teamwork through modified match play. Foundation to Level 2 students have been focusing on Fundamental Motor Skills, including striking, throwing, and catching, while continuing to build confidence and coordination through fun, active games.
Sporting Achievements
At Rangeview, we have many talented students competing in various sports outside of school each weekend! We are excited to share as many success stories as possible throughout 2025. If your child has had an exciting moment, we would love to feature it in the newsletter. Please email Mitchell.Clark@education.vic.gov.au
Xiong Loh – Tennis
This week, we are celebrating the achievements of one of our Level 5 students, Xiong. Xiong and his team won the Eastern Regional Tennis Winter Tournament, an incredible achievement! As team captain, Xiong showed outstanding leadership, dedication, and teamwork throughout the season, consistently motivating and supporting his teammates. We’re so proud of his hard work and the way he helped lead his team to both the finals and the championship.
