Year 11 Leaders ‘Spring Into Action’
Our Year 11 leaders welcomed the first day of spring in style with their Spring into Action day! The leaders spent the day spreading positivity around the College, engaging with students to gather feedback about their school experience.
In true celebratory fashion, they handed out fairy bread and encouraged students to send flowers to their friends and teachers, creating a bright and cheerful atmosphere across the College.
The day was a wonderful example of leadership, creativity and community spirit. Well done to all our Year 11 leaders for making the start of spring so special!

Year 11 VCE VM Term 3 Recap
It’s been a packed and purposeful Term 3 for our VCE Vocational Major students, who have been diving deep into two major themes: Homelessness and Biodiversity. Through hands-on activities, guest speakers, excursions and multimedia, students have developed their knowledge of social and environmental issues while also learning about how to make a real difference in their communities.
The term kicked off with a focus on Homelessness, where students explored the root causes, impacts and lived experiences of people facing housing insecurity. A major highlight was the Salvation Army City Tour, where students visited key sites in the CBD and gained a first-hand understanding of the services provided to those in need. The experience was eye-opening and challenged many students to reflect on the realities behind the statistics.
Shifting gears to Biodiversity, students were lucky to be visited by local council rangers, who shared their insights into the importance of preserving our local natural environments. A key focus was the Seaford Wetlands, a unique and vital habitat. As part of their community engagement, students took part in a wetland grasses planting project.
To cap off Term 3, students attended a screening of "Future Council" at Hoyts, a thought-provoking film that celebrates the voice of young people in shaping community values and policies. The documentary reinforced the message that students can be changemakers, capable of influencing cultural conversations around both social justice and sustainability.
Well done, Year 11 VCE VM students!
