Student achievements

Kalinda Kids shine!

Every day Kalinda kids are achieving great things in their classroom and yard, but we know that outside of school, they are often kicking lots of goals as well (literally and figuratively)! Celebrating the growth of 'the whole child' is something we treasure.

If your student has an achievement that you would like to share please send to Mrs. Hopkins so that we can celebrate them in the newsletter! Whether it is a sporting achievement, Karate grade, Cub badge, community service or amazing new skill - we want to share it with our community.

I can't wait to hear about your achievements and share them with our community!

Zach's generous act

Submitted by proud mum Vicki

Zach (2D) did some fundraising last weekend. He asked if he could run a lemonade stall to raise money in memory of his grandad. He set up at our gym and then again at home and raised $190 for the cancer council!

Mitta Mitta Muster

Over the long weekend, Pia (5/6A) competed in the ‘Mitta Mad Mile’ (1.6km) U15 girls cross-country race at the Mitta Muster over the long weekend. She came 1st! Her sister Chloe (past Kalinda student) came 2nd. Pia won $50 and a camel ride! Mitta Mitta is a country town in North East Victoria, about 5 hours from Melbourne. They hold the ‘Mighty Mitta Muster’ every Labour Day weekend, with running races, wood chopping, horse riding and dog jumping competition.

Abi: kindness in action

Submitted by proud Mum Rachel

Abi (5/6C) went into the city and handed out 14 packs that she had made herself with sandwiches, rolls, pastries and all with a handwritten note. So proud of her and her heart for the homeless!
