This is what our students have been up to this week

Victorian Space and Science Education Centre

On Tuesday and Wednesday, students in Years 3-6 had the opportunity to be part of an incursion run by the Victorian Space and Science Education Centre. Emma and Tom hosted these sessions over two days. This popular incursion, which targets key areas of the curriculum, was hosted by Emma and Tom.

Students in year 3 learned more about our galaxy and weere able to split into pairs and make rockets, which were then launched outside, propelled by the power of water and pressure. Thank goodness no stray rockets come over the roof to the office door, unlike last year!

The VSSEC kindly gifted the launchers to our school last year and will give us more ideas on how else they can used.

Students in years 4, 5 and 6 delved into robotics and our solar ystem.  Students learned how robitics and engineering are forging our knowledge of the solar system and space exploration.
