TERM 1, Week 4

We have been doing some great learning.

The children started their own personal writing by writing a sentence about what they like. They had a go at the sentence then the teachers wrote it out and the children traced over their writing and copied the sentence. It was a lot of writing but...WOW, the teachers are so proud of everyone's efforts.

For our handwriting we have focused on the correct formation of the lower case letters. Some are tricky but practice makes perfect.

In maths we have been practising the skill of subitising. This is where the teachers hold up a card with dots on it and the children have to say how many dots there are, trying not to count them. We are improving the formation of the numbers 1 to 10, practising these every day.

Have a great weekend.
