Year 8 News

Justin Chilver & Sam Hoffmann | Year 8 Coordinators

What a fantastic start to the school year it has been for our Year 8 cohort! Our students have now settled back into school life well and we are receiving so many positive reports from all of their teachers about how well they are doing. Let’s keep it up Yr 8’s!

Staff are currently completing interim reports and these will be released soon. These are a great opportunity to have a conversation with your child and discuss their progress so far this year.

As we head into the middle of term, the Year 8 Team would like to remind students of the school values and to follow them to the best of their abilities daily.

 SEQTA

This is the name of the online portal that our school uses to link students, parents, and teachers to enable clear communication of student progress in all subjects. Families should have received a welcome letter (via email) with login instructions. If you did not receive this email or don’t have access to SEQTA please contact Rod Kirkwood - rodney.kirkwood@education.vic.gov.au

Swimming Carnival

Well done to all the students who attended and participated at the Horsham College swimming sports on the 19th of February. It was great to see so many Year 8’s attend. Students need to support these whole school events if they want to see them continue into the future. A huge thank you to Jase and Brooklyn for organising such a fun day for our school community.

Congratulations to our Year 8 Mila Payne for winning the age champion!

SCHOOL TV

Horsham College has a subscription to SchoolTV. This is a great resource for both Parents and Students to help support with all things school and life. This can be found on the school website or the following link: https://horsham-college.vic.schooltv.me/category-latest-newsletter
