Year 10 News

Year 10 Camp Expressions of Interest

This is due at the end of this week. Please make sure you check your direct messages and compete your work and expressions of interest. This has been communicated via SEQTA DM. 

Work Experience

Year 10 students in the Semester 1, Careers Class are completing work experience in the week of the 25th to 28th of March. Student should have chosen and asked their employer by now and be organised with the required paperwork.

If your student still needs help with organising their work experience please contact Genni Smith, Work Experience Coordinator at Horsham College this week.

Year 10 Art

Year 10 Art are currently focusing on appropriation and painting. Students have selected an artwork. With this artworks, Year 10s have selected an artwork;  in which they will change for their own purposes and arts styles. At the end of the unit, students will reflect and justify their ideas and meanings. Students have learnt technique such as blocking in, layering and creating texture through the use of impasto. 

Year 10 Bakers Shop

Year 10 Bakers Shop have been working through their Investigating Yeast unit. They conducted a laboratory prac to determine the best conditions for Yeast to grow. They produced a focaccia and cinnamon scrolls using the bread making process.

Final assessment was to design and produce a pull-apart loaf, these are some finished products. They all did an amazing job, with appetising flavour combinations and designs.
