Prayer

Loving Father, So many times I turn away from you and always you welcome me back. Your mercy and love gives me confidence. Thank you for the invitation to share, fast and pray so that you can form a new heart within me. Your powerful compassion leads me to  await with great hope the Easter joy you share with us. May the Lord bless us and bring us to everlasting life.

Amen.

Welcome

We welcome Fr. Martin & Fr. McHugh to St Patrick's Church and St Joseph's School whilst Fr. Anthony is on leave.

LENT ~ 'a time for renewing faith, hope & love' (Pope Francis)

Give it up for Lent!

The primary pillars of Lent are prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Giving something up is a simple way to combine these three pillars into one charitable activity. Giving up junk food, chocolate or watching TV is really a type of fasting.

One way we are able to do this as a Catholic Community is by supporting Project Compassion run by CARITAS Australia and over the next forty days of Lent we should be looking to make monetary contributions (big or small) to these boxes.

We are aware of many local families doing it tough given the current circumstances so prayers for those in need and random acts of kindness that don't cost money can be just as good as a monetary contribution!

Guessing Competition

Don't forget our Easter Guessing Competition! 50c per guess...the closest estimate wins! All money will be donated to Project Compassion.

St Patrick's Day

We will celebrate St Patrick's Day on Friday, 15th March. All money collected on the day will be donated to Project Compassion.
