Principals' Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we approach the halfway point of this term  we would like to acknowledge the staff and students for their efforts so far this term. In Week 4 our 'Meet and Greet' conferences took place. Once again, these conferences were very successful and proved to be a fantastic opportunity for our students to discuss and reflect on their learning goals for the academic year ahead with their teachers and parents.

National Catholic Education Commission

St Joseph's has been featured on the National Catholic Education Commission's (NCEC) webpage.  The NCEC were looking to showcase the Armidale Diocesan MaST Initiative and we are extremely proud that our school was chosen to highlight the wonderful teaching and learning taking place at St Joseph's by our staff and students.

This is tremendous acknowledgement of the academic success of our students in Mathematics and recognition of the huge commitment from our awesome team of professionals here at St Joseph's. Once again, a huge congratulations to our staff and students. Well done!

Learning In Action

Last week, Mrs Lockwood and three teachers from Our Lady Of The Angels, Guyra conducted a Learning Walk and Talk at our school.  The visitors were very impressed with the excellent learning and teaching taking place and were extremely appreciative of this opportunity to develop their professional knowledge.

Following the visit, Mrs Lockwood shared her appreciation with staff, saying "I was once again reminded of why I am so proud and inspired by what Joey's is and by you all as educators... I was blown away by everything that is happening on a daily basis."

Many thanks to our wonderful staff for sharing their knowledge and practice to support colleagues in other schools within our diocese.

Halogen Young Leaders Day

Today, Mrs Wallace and our School Captains, Vice-Captains and Sports Captains are attending the 2024 Halogen Young Leaders Day in Sydney. The Young Leaders Day is always a wonderful experience for the student leaders from St Joseph's as they look to develop their own leadership capacity. Our leaders will have the opportunity to learn from some outstanding leaders and we look forward to hearing about the day on their return this week and sharing with you their highlights.

May God bless you and your family,

Maree Holland & Greg O'Toole
