John XXIII Netball Club

I hope you all had a lovely long weekend. We are back on court for the start of the season.

Grading

Grading continues this weekend for all year groups. Please email the Club if you cannot attend a grading session.

Grading takes place on the John XXIII College netball courts next to the Year 7 / E block.

• Please arrive 5 minutes early to be checked in.
• Wear your college sports uniform.
• Remove or tape all jewellery before you arrive.
• Nails should be short and filed smooth
• Hair pinned back
• Bring a water bottle
• No phones

Years 11 and 12

There will be a make-up grading session on Tuesday, 12 March at 3:30pm – 5:00pm for students in Years 11 and12. 

Years 5 and 6

Years 5 and 6 Grading will take place on Thursday, 14 March at 3:30pm – 5:00pm

Training

Training begins on 19 and 21 March at John XXIII College on the courts next to E block (Year 7).

Training is compulsory, and students to please wear their College sports uniform:

• Years 6, 7, 8 and 9       Thursdays 3:30pm – 5:00pm
• Years 10, 11 and 12     Tuesdays 3:30pm – 5:00pm
• Primary training will be advised by the coach.

Refund Policy

Withdrawals must be received via email by 5pm Friday, 8 March 2024 to be eligible for a refund.  

• A $25 grading fee will be deducted from all secondary school refunds.
• A $5 finance & administration fee will be deducted from all primary school refunds.

Refunds for the Netball Australia and Netball WA portion of the fees will be reimbursed directly by Netball WA.

Netball Australia and Netball WA charge an administration fee on all withdrawal refunds.

NetSetGo refunds will have the cost of the promotional pack deducted from the refund.

Team Annoucements

Teams will be announced once all grading is finalised. Team announcements are final. There is no room for movement once teams are announced.

Pre-season Fitness

Pre-season Fitness is now finished. Thank you to the trainers, Emilee, Eloise and Ruby.

Thanks to all the players who showed up to improve their game.

Uniforms

Netball players are required to wear their John XXIII College Netball Club uniform.

• Years 4 to Year 12 and Alumni wear the JTC Netball dress
• Years 2 and 3 wear the JTC sports uniform
• Primary school boys wear the JTC sports uniform

Bloomers / netball knickers are compulsory and must be either plain navy/dark blue or the blue and yellow Club bloomers.

All John XXIII College netball uniforms are available from the College Uniform Shop. Netball dresses can be purchased longer or shorter if required. If you require a custom length (at no extra cost), please see our friendly uniform shop staff for assistance.

Netball winter rain jackets are waterproof and fleece-lined and available from the Uniform Shop. They are great for keeping dry, and the pockets are waterproof.

Code of Conduct

Bad behaviour, bad language and bad attitudes by players are not acceptable and will not be tolerated. If players are heard swearing or seen behaving badly on the court they will be sidelined for the remainder of the session. Please ensure your daughters are aware of the rules and expectations.
