2024 College Musical

John XXIII College is excited to announce the sensational 2024 College musical – CHICAGO! Brace yourselves for a world of murder, greed, corruption, exploitation, treachery, and All That Jazz! Let the countdown to an unforgettable night of musical excellence begin!

In roaring twenties Chicago, chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap... until he finds out he's been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another 'Merry Murderess,' Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the 'American Dream': fame, fortune, and acquittal.

Chicago (teen-friendly edition) is a specially adapted version of this classic musical that maintains the plot, score and choreography but is specially adapted to make it more appropriate for both young and old audience members to enjoy.

Drama Alumni Monologues

We had the privilege of welcoming back Ella Hugo and Summer Rule from the Class of 2023, who graced our stage with the same passion and dedication that earned them exceptionally high marks in their ATAR Drama course last year. Performing their monologues, they reveal the hard work, dedication, and creativity that goes into crafting such captivating pieces. Our current Year 12s watched, learned, and were undoubtedly inspired.
