Year 3-Year 6 News
Another fabulous two weeks for students in Years 3-6!! There have been many learning experiences, community events and sporting opportunities. The weeks are flying past in this busy first term.
Students have participated in both Athletics and Swimming carnivals over the past weeks and have shown great sportsmanship and house spirit on both occasions.
Congratulations to all students who have participated and well done to any students
who went on to compete at Division or Regional swimming levels.
Ms Aldous will have all the results in her report.
Late News Just In... congratulations to Jack Lomax and the relay team of Ava Gordon, Issy Gordon, Grace Ellis and Charlotte Lynch who have all made it through to the State Level competition next term. Well done to all!!
💠Assemblies
Each fortnight, we have a F-6 Assembly on Friday afternoon at 2.30pm in the PLC. The Year 6 leaders ran the assembly and did a brilliant job on their first effort last week. A class will share something they have been doing and we also present the PBL awards for the fortnight.
We have POSTPONED this week's assembly due to the CARITAS activities on Friday so our next assembly will be Friday 15th March.
💠Opening Mass
Our Opening Mass was a wonderful occasion as we inducted our College leaders from Year 11 and Year 6 for the 2024 year.

💠Caritas Fundraisers
We started our Caritas fundraisers with a wild and wacky hair day! It was great to see all the inventive hairstyles and fabulous hats last Friday. Thank you for your support.... we have raised over $250 already and today we had Zooper Dooper Friday ($1) and the Primary Disco.
Once again it is a gold coin donation to help provide clean drinking water
for those who do not have easy access to this essential resource.
💠Congratulations to Summer Hoefchen and Mackenzie Pfeiffer-Clark (Year 5) who are both competing in the State Horse Show on the 16th and 17th March. Summer will be competing in Hunter in Hand, Hunter Under Saddle and Western Pleasure events. Mackenzie will compete in Showmanship, Halter, and Led Riding events. What a fabulous experience for both girls and we look forward to hearing all about it. Good luck Summer and Mackenzie!
💠STEM and Science
There is so much excitement and chatter when the children head over to Science or Digital Technologies with Mrs Holt (or Miss Jade as we all know her!) There is always something to be made or investigated and this learning area has been a wonderful addition to the specialist areas.
Just some of the activities over the past few weeks...
💠Garden Fun
Mr Allen provides many opportunities for our students to experience life in the garden. Last week, 4A were able to head down to the garden to gather and eat lots of fresh produce. They tasted watermelon, figs, tomatoes and even hot cooked potato chips!! Mr Allen had the cooking facilities ready and waiting- it was a fantastic experience for everyone.
💠Clean Up Australia Day
Thank you to the Year 6 classes who headed out with Mrs Grant and Mrs Brock last Friday to make our school look even cleaner by picking up any rubbish they found around the school.
The Yr 6’s are also collecting bottles for recycling - they have three enormous bags of plastic bottles that they will recycle and use the money for community events,
Great work Year 6!
