Principal's Message

Mrs Kaileen Carr

The theme this year for Public Education Week is "Proud to Belong". Public Education Week is a time for all of us to feel proud to belong, sharing our pride in being part of NSW Public Education and the achievements of our students and staff.

Public Education Week is when we celebrate and acknowledge all those who contribute to our children and young people’s educational journey. School staff, parents and carers, community leaders and P&C associations all play an important role in our students' education.

To celebrate Public Education week, Eglinton is holding our bi-annual School Concert "A Night at the Movies" on Wednesday 7 August. We look forward to seeing everyone there to celebrate our staff, students and Public Education.

BOUNCE BACK!

Bounce Back! is a whole school program for K-6. It uses blended learning and provides teachers with practical strategies to explicitly teach wellbeing and resilience skills to help students 'bounce back' and cope with the complexity of everyday life.

This term all classes are being introduced to the following posters and learning how to 'bounce back'. Students will be able to call upon these coping statements which are based around positive self-talk.
