STUDENT ACTIVITIES

🏑Newtown Hockey Club Clinic🏑

At the end of Term 2 students had been partaking in a Hockey Clinic run by Newtown Hockey Club. Claire Barnes, a life member of the club who played for over 40 years, after starting in University regularly came to share her skills with students.

Students ran drills in the form of different games for the first few weeks which helped build their skills, so they could move into modified games.

Thank you to Claire, Dom and the Newtown Hockey Club for running this clinic!

🧙⚡Grade 4 Harry Potter Day⚡🧙

Last term we had a Harry Potter Day to celebrate the Grade 4's finishing the book.

‘Harry Potter and Philosopher’s Stone’

We had fun making owls, wizard money, and writing letters throughout the term. We were sorted into Hogwarts houses. There was Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, and Slytherin.

We also watched the outstanding movie based on the book on the last day of Term 2.

All the Grade 4’s got to dress up as their favourite Harry Potter character. Such as Hermione, Harry, Ron, Fluffy, Malfoy and even Professor Snape.

It was an amazing adventure through this term and we loved the book. 10/10.

Preps Shaving Cream Inquiry

Today our preps had much fun with shaving cream on their desks! They practised writing and got creative making shapes and pictures in the foam. This is a great activity to help develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination by picking up, moving, and drawing with their fingers in the shaving cream. What a great lesson! Please enjoy some cheeky smiling faces below...
