Each year the Department of Education and Training (DET) asks parents from each Victorian Government school to provide feedback through its Parent, Caregiver and Guardian Opinion Survey. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation.
Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.
The 2024 Parent, Caregiver and Guardian Opinion Survey will be available to complete online from Monday 29 July to Friday 30 August 2024.
Please look out for further instructions and a link to the online survey via Compass.
All surveys are anonymous.
Just a friendly reminder that children should not be at school before 8:30am. School gates are only opened at this time. Teachers are only out in the yard for supervision from 8.45am onwards.
Our Before School programme, TheirCare, is available every day, Monday to Friday, for those parents who need their children to be here from anytime between 7:00am and 9:00am. Please register your child if this is the case.
Over the past couple of weeks we have had parents and concerned community members come to see us worried about the safety of our students when travelling to and from school.
We encourage drivers to be patient and to obey all traffic signs – it has been disappointing to see a number of families receive parking infringements due to illegal parking. The parking signs are there to keep our children safe. A few extra steps to walk, not only promotes physical activity and good heath, but also keeps our children safe.
Please note the staff car park is for staff only. Please do not park in the staff car park.
It is vital that students come to school every day so their academic and social skills can develop. It is a real worry to see any student missing more than 12 days of school over the year, but particularly for children in their early formative years. If a child is sick then home is the best place for them, otherwise ALL children should be at school EVERY DAY. A major concern for us is families booking extended holidays during the school term. We understand that family time is precious, and so is school. Please book family holidays during the term breaks so your child has the best possible opportunities to increase their learning; it’s not okay to be away.
