Founders Day
Founders Day Celebrations
The last day of Term 2 at Brigidine College Randwick was marked by a vibrant celebration of our annual Founders Day event.
This cherished tradition is a time for our school community to honour our roots, celebrate our achievements, and enjoy a day filled with fun and camaraderie.
The day began with a special Founders Day Mass, where we paid homage to the Brigidine Sisters and Bishop Daniel Delany, whose vision and dedication laid the foundation for our school. We are grateful to Father Phil for blessing us with his presence and delivering a heartfelt sermon that reminded us of the values and history that unite us.
Following the mass, the festivities continued with a variety of activities that brought joy to students and staff alike. The school grounds buzzed with excitement as students enjoyed treats like ice cream, pizza, and popcorn. The lively beats from DJ Ms Phetrasi had everyone dancing and enjoying the rhythm, creating an atmosphere of pure joy and celebration. The day was made even more special with the presence of adorable animals, providing moments of awe and delight. Thrilling inflatable rides brought out the competitive spirit in our students as they raced and played, making memories with friends.
Showcasing Student Talent A highlight of the day was the Talent Show, where our students showcased their incredible talents. From singing and dancing to unique performances, the participants impressed the audience and judges alike. Congratulations to our talented winners: Marcela (Year 8) took first place, Ainsly (Year 7) secured second place, and Adelaide (Year 8) rounded out the top three in third place.
A special mention goes to the Year 12 flash dance performance that left everyone intrigued and entertained, culminating with the thought-provoking question: "Are we Jon Enough?"
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our judges—Mr. Campbell, Ms. Exton, and Mr. Papa—who provided valuable feedback and entertainment. Founders Day is more than just a celebration; it is a reflection of our school's vibrant community and a testament to the spirit of togetherness that defines Brigidine College Randwick.
We look forward to more such events that celebrate our heritage, showcase our talents, and strengthen our bonds.
