Foundation (Prep-Year 2)

Welcome back to Term 3!

Prep A started this Term by learning about NAIDOC week and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and history. We created an Acknowledgement of Country poster and learnt some Key Word Sign to help us say it in our morning circle. We also participated in Yarning Circles, sharing ideas, learning from each other and building respect. On Thursday we were lucky enough to share a cultural experience presented by Will Austin from Yarnbark which including singing, dancing and instruments. We have so much to look forward to this term including 100 days of prep, swimming and more!

Lower Primary (Years 3-4)

This term we will be creating an imaginative writing piece around pirates. To get student’s ideas flowing, we dressed up as pirates, found a treasure map, and looked for treasure. We have had a lot of fun exploring pirates by reading books, and creating pirate hats and eye patches through crafts.

Upper Primary (Years 5-6)

Year 5/6 students have had a very busy first two weeks of Term 3! We completed many different activities as we celebrated NAIDOC Week including attending an amazing incursion where we listened to some didgeridoo playing and learned how to start a fire. In Inquiry, we have started exploring materials and their different properties. Our focus of PBIS this term is responsibility. Students have been assigned a classroom job and have been practising doing their job each day.
