Principal's Report
Dear Armstrong Creek Community,
From the Principal Jess Kelly:
I continue to be so impressed by our wonderful school, the efforts of staff and the commitment of students. It has been truly terrific getting to know everyone. I enjoyed attending Year 4 Camp and experiencing the excitement of the students and watching the interactions with staff and peers. Thank you to those families who supported us with the camp and I look forward to the next one.
At assembly I introduced myself a little more to students and shared my favourite ACS value. Having already shared this the Year 5 students, I explained it was Care. Care for each other and Care for the school. I talked about how much care I have already seen in my time at ACS and I asked students to think about the questions: “How do you show Care?”. So if you are at home over the weekend, you may like to ask them, “How do you show Care at school?”. I will look forward to talking with students this coming week about how they show Care and visiting classrooms looking for demonstrations.
Again, thank you for the continued warm welcome. We will be in touch later this term with a family Principal Meet and Greet opportunity. Until then, if you are wanting to say hello I can be found in the mornings or afternoons at the Administration gate.
Curriculum Day
A reminder to our families that Monday 5 August, 2024 is a Curriculum Day and students will not attend school on this day.
Book Week 19-23 August
ACS will celebrate with a whole school dress up day and students will be invited to come dressed as their favourite book character or as something aligned to the 2024 Book Week theme, ‘Reading is Magic’. More details about the dress up day date and Book Week Activities to come soon...
Enjoy the week end everyone!
