CSPS Breakfast Club

Since 2016, Foodbank Victoria has delivered the School Breakfast Clubs program. A vital program that has provided healthy meals to kids who might otherwise go without. Giving them a happy, healthy start to the day. Over 1000 schools are now being supported through this initiative that offers more than just healthy food. It improves concentration, mood, and builds on children’s social skills. Caulfield South Primary were selected to take part in this program in 2024. Since its humble beginnings run by Jess (Social Worker) in varying areas of the school, it has now settled within our Music room every Monday from 8:20-8:45am. With the brilliant support from Cath, her daughter Jasmine (5B), and Labreni Pappas (Art/Wellbeing) – the Breakfast Club is now thriving at CSPS!

Through this initiative, we have been able to fuel kids for their day at school, provide a safe place for students to go to if they’re needing to be dropped earlier, enhance inter-year socialisation, and build on our overall relationships with students – especially with our regular attendees who like to ask for “the usual” every Monday!

We are now serving baked beans, toast (butter, honey, vegemite, jam), cereal, fruit cups, fruit, and mini milks. We will begin toasties (cheese) very soon!

If you would like to volunteer to support the Breakfast Club, please reach out to the front office (Current WWCC needed).Come along every Monday 8:20-8:45am!*Please note that students must be in the music room by 8:40am.
