Year 5 Camp

Last week, our Year 5 students attended their school camp at Campaspe Downs. The three days were filled with fun, adventure, and plenty of opportunities for students to challenge themselves, step outside their comfort zones, and strengthen their bonds with their peers.

They had a wonderful time taking part in a variety of activities, including the flying fox, rock climbing, canoeing, and campfires. The teachers were so impressed by the way students encouraged one another, celebrated achievements, and demonstrated resilience when faced with challenges.

The camp provided students with the opportunity to work together, build teamwork skills, and strengthen friendships.

A special thank you to Ms McKibbin, Ms Blake, Ms Macpherson, Ms Grech, Ms Lily, and Mr Hogan for your time, care, and commitment in ensuring our students had such a positive and memorable experience.

Year 5 Reflections:

  • “We got to play heaps of cool soccer matches with our camp leader, Reuben.” – Dante P

  • “My favourite moment at camp was the giant swing because I got to go really high in the air.” – Elle

Prep Firefighter Visit

Our Preps were lucky enough to have the local Ascot Vale Firefighters visit and talk to them about fires and safe meeting places in case of an emergency.  The Firefighters also came with their fire engine, and students had fun using the hoses and pretending to be firefighters.
