Our School Uniform Shop opened on Monday. Thank you to all of our families for their wonderful support and encouraging feedback of not only having all of our school uniform available on site or online for purchase, but the new polo that was launched after the recent uniform review. A reminder that the uniform shop is open Monday-Friday 8.30pm-3.00pm or you can order online through Sentral uniforms. A special thank you to our office staff, Denise, Lizzy and Cathy, who have put in many hours of work in preparation of the opening.
Our Kinder Transition to school program commences on Friday 29th August for 4 Fridays in Term 3 (Friday 29/8, 5/9, 12/9 and 19/9) and then then first 4 Fridays of Term 4 (Friday 17/10, 24/10, 31/10 and 7/11) from 9.30am-12.00noon. If you have a child commencing school in 2026, please contact us so we can assist you in enrolling your child at Bathurst Public School and support your family in attending transition.
A reminder that our Parent Teacher Meetings, which will occur in Week 8 (Monday 8th September for Stage 3, Tuesday 9th September for Stage 1, Wednesday 10th September for Stage 2 and Friday 12th September for Kindergarten) will be opened on the Parent Portal tomorrow, Friday 15th August at 9am. Congratulations to our Primary Choir, Mrs Cafe and Mrs Datt on their outstanding performance last Friday night at the House as part of the Choral Festival. The children were fantastic and wonderful representatives of our school. Thank you, Mrs Café and Mrs Datt, for the work you have done preparing the children and on supervising them on Friday at the Choral Festival.
Our Annual Athletics Carnival was held on Monday, and it was an incredibly successful day. Congratulations to all students who participated in events, but a special congratulations to Addison Jones and Lilly Guihot who both broke the long standing 11 Years Girls Long Jump record. Addison jumped 3.61m to break Kandy Kennedy’s 2007 record by 1cm. On the very next jump, Lilly jumped 3.71m on her last attempt to break Addison’s record by 10cm. It was an exciting few minutes at the Long Jump!

Well done to our boys Basketball Team and Mr Datt who had a sensational win on Tuesday against Eglinton PS 62-34. The boys were outstanding and played a terrific team game. We have now advanced to the next round in the NSW PSSA knockout competition against Orange PS.
Our 10 Day Term 4 Intensive Swimming Program will occur from Monday 24th November - Friday 5th December at the Manning Aquatic Centre. This program will be open to all children from Kindergarten to Year 6. The children will be taught by qualified Swimming Instructors employed by the Manning Aquatic Centre. Sessions will be 45 minutes long and will run for 10 days between 9.15am. and 2.00pm. Children will be accompanied to and from the pool by school staff. The cost will be $140.00 for the 10-day program, including bus travel, facility entry, and professional instruction. This can be paid through our Sentral Parent Portal or at the front office via cash or EFTPOS. Active Kids and First Lap vouchers are not accepted this year. If you would like your child to attend, please answer the questions through the Sentral Parent Portal. Medical information is not provided or updated through the Portal. Please contact the front office with any medical updates. A deposit of $50 must be paid to secure your child's position in the program by Friday, 26th September. The final balance must be paid by Friday, 7th November. After this date, there will be no refunds. Parents will be informed of the details of their child's classes before the program commences. Parents are asked to contact the school and update their child's medical information closer to the start of the program if necessary.
