Leadership Update

As I have communicated previously in newsletters, my co principal David Foley has recovered well from his surgery. His follow up treatment continues, and he is progressing well. It will be necessary for David to extend his sick leave until the end of term 4. I am very pleased to continue in the Acting Principal role and lead our wonderful school in his absence.

Kinder Story Time

Yesterday we held our final kinder story time for this year. The session included our Library Captains supporting next year’s foundation students with activities and games. The weather was perfect for our first play on the equipment. It was wonderful to see our senior students supporting our incoming students and role modelling what wonderful student leaders we have at ENPS.

Book Week

On Tuesday we held our annual parade and as always it was full of colour and joy. Our Library Captains also ran the parade and did a fantastic job. Congratulations to them as they spoke beautifully and clearly whilst keeping the crowds under control as well as excited. Throughout the day students participated in buddy activities as well as a scavenger hunt. Students were treated to one of the shortlisted texts, the picture story book ‘Spiro’ which focused on determination and persistence.

Second Hand Uniform Sale

Our next second-hand uniform sale is on Friday September 5th commencing at 8:30am in the hall. We are only able to accept cash please.

We need volunteers to help set up, assist, and pack up between 8:00–10:00am. A PFA member will be on hand to guide and direct – no experience needed! Even an hour helps.

Thanks for supporting the Second-Hand Uniform Sale!

Shade sail replacement

You may have noticed that we are replacing one of the shade sails in the P-2 playground maintaining shade in that area. This is due to go up on Monday next week. We are waiting now for the steel fabrication for the shade sail to go over the assembly court. As soon as that is completed, the shade sails will go up providing shade all year round and making Friday afternoon assemblies possible on higher UV days.

After two fab days of great weather this week and more to come, I wish you a lovely weekend!
