Important information and Reminders

Bike Shed

A reminder that the bike shed is locked from 9:10am to 3pm. 

Outside of these times, students must come to the front office and collect a key, open the bike shed, then return the key. 

Students are not to ride inside the school between the bike shed and the front office, they must walk their bike/scooter. 

Students have also been seen to secure their bike to the outside of the bike shed. This is not secure. 

A reminder to the community, while the school is doing what it can to help secure your items, the responsibility remains to be of the student and family. 

Last day of Term Session Times

A reminder that next week Friday September 19 is the last day of term. Session times are: 

SESSION 1: 9:15-10:05

SESSION 2: 10:05-10:55

RECESS: 10:55-11:25

SESSION 3: 11:25-12:15

SESSION 4: 12:15-1:05

LUNCHTIME: 1:05-1:40

SESSION 5: 1:40-2:30

2025 Parent, Caregiver and Guardian Opinion Survey

The annual Department of Education Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey is now open for completion. 

The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement.

The survey will be conducted online and only takes 20 minutes to complete. It can be completed on any internet enabled device (desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone) and is compatible with most browsers.

The details of how to complete the survey in various languages including: English, Chinese (Simplified), Hindi, Italian, Korean, Malayalam, Samoan, Swahili, Turkish, Urdu and Vietnamese, are attached to the post on Compass communicated earlier this term. 

To complete the survey, simply: 

1. Click on the link below or copy and paste the text into your browser. This link will take you directly to the survey. https://research.orima.com/parent  

2. Select the School and Campus name below. School Name: Homestead Senior Secondary College Campus Name: Homestead Senior Secondary College 

3. Enter the School PIN below. PIN: 942032 

4. When complete, please click on the ‘Submit’ button at the end of the survey to submit your answers. Please note that the survey will time out after 60 minutes of inactivity.

The survey will be open for completion from Monday 18th August to Friday 19th September 2025.
