Year 3 Camp

By Tamara B and Thomas X

On the 23rd of October, the year threes woke up in the morning ready to go to camp. They entered the library building in the morning and got prepared and set off to camp. It was about a one hour and forty-minute drive. Once the buses got there, we were relieved to get out of the bus and have our lunch break. After lunch we got split into our coloured activity groups and started our activities. The activities were: ziplining, night walk and marshmallow campfire, going to the farm, cooking our own lunch on the fire, launching and mapping.

The zipline was probably one of the best experiences, it was 127 meters long and goes down a whole hill! We hiked up a bush track in the evening and got to the fireplace in the little shelter named the ‘’Squatters Cottage’’. Then we started the fire and group by group went up and roasted marshmallows. We hiked back down the bush track when dark fell using our torches to light the way. We got to feed the animals at the farm and some of us picked up the chickens. On the second day we hiked up the same bush track and started our own campfires with our friends in groups. Once the campfires burned bright the groups put their lunch on the railing above the fire to cook it.

As it was explained, camp was really fun, even the people who were nervous had a blast. We all overcame our fears during the camp and had the best time ever. Camp is amazing!

Volleyball Team

The Grade 6 Volleyball team participated yesterday at the Interschool Volleyball at Division level.  All members of the team were amazing, they won their first match and narrowly lost their second in a tiebreaker.  It was impressive to see the boys support each other and work together as a team.  Thank you to Marina for driving and supporting the team.

Cricket Team

Last Friday the Interschool Cricket team competed in the Division Round Robin after winning their District Day in Term 1.  It was hot and sunny out on the field which resulted with 1 win and 2 losses.  Well done to all the boys for their efforts today and the family members who helped drive our players and supported them throughout the day.

Hot Shots Team

CEPS Hot Shots team headed to District yesterday.  It was a competitive day, with lots of close matches, some impressive shots and great teamwork.  The boys proudly represented our school and had a great day.

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day, observed on November 11th each year, marks the end of World War I and is a day dedicated to remembering the men and women who have served and continue to serve in the armed forces. It is a day of reflection, gratitude, and unity.

To support our school's efforts to commemorate Remembrance Day, we are offering poppies, pens, bracelets and badges for purchase at the school office.  The costs range from $2 to $10.  The poppy is a symbol of remembrance, and the funds raised from the sale of these poppies go towards supporting veterans and their families. By purchasing a piece from the office, you not only honor the memory of those who served but also contribute to a noble cause.

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

Colour Run

Last Friday, our school was awash with vibrant colours and joyous laughter as students, teachers and parents came together for a day of fitness, fun, and community spirit. Students from all grades eagerly donned their once clean white t-shirts, and now all are filled with multiple colours. (see below photos).

We would like to express our gratitude to the Parent's Committee for their hard work and dedication in organising this fantastic event.
