2023 Reflection

As we approach the end of another school year and my first year at CEPS,  I am delighted to take this opportunity to reflect on the memorable experiences we have experienced together throughout 2023. The accomplishments of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the unwavering support from our families have truly made this year exceptional.

Academic Excellence and Social/Emotional Growth

Our students have not just excelled academically, but they have demonstrated a passion for learning. From mastering mathematical concepts to exploring the wonders of literature, their accomplishments are a reflection of the dedication of our exceptional teaching staff and the hard work of every student. Please be advised that the Semester 2 reports will be made available next Monday 18 December. We have also witnessed tremendous growth in the social and emotional well-being of our students. This year, we maintained a strong emphasis on creating a supportive and inclusive environment that nurtures the whole child. Through our approaches, students have developed essential life skills such as empathy, resilience, and effective communication. Together, we have cultivated an atmosphere of acceptance, understanding, and unity.

Year-Level Learning Expos: A Showcase of Knowledge and Creativity

Our students have showcased their academic prowess and creativity through the Year-Level Learning Expos. These events not only demonstrated the depth of their understanding but also highlighted the collaborative spirit that defines our school community.

Camps, Excursions, and Incursions: Learning Beyond the Classroom Walls

The exploration and discovery extended beyond the classroom with our diverse range of camps, excursions, and incursions. These experiences not only broadened our students' horizons but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and resilience.

Book Week Fair and Character Parade: A Celebration of Literature and Imagination

Our annual Book Week Fair and Character Parade brought stories to life and ignited the imaginations of our students. The colorful characters parading through the school were a testament to the joy of reading and the power of imagination.

Dance Party Concert

The Dance Party Concert was a celebration of rhythm, movement, and unity. It showcased the talents and creativity of our students, bringing the entire school together in a joyful celebration of the performing arts.

Colour Run

The Color Run was a vibrant explosion of joy, unity, and fun. Students, staff, and families came together to run, laugh, and celebrate in a kaleidoscope of colors, creating lasting memories of shared experiences.

Sports Carnivals and Swimming Events

Our sports events, including the Sports Carnivals, Swimming Programs, and Swimming Competitions, not only celebrated physical fitness but also instilled the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles among our students.

Year 5/6 Dancesport

Our Year 5/6 students showcased their grace and skill at their Dancesport Galas. Their dedication to mastering their dance routines was truly commendable, and the performances were a testament to their hard work.

A Heartfelt Thank You to our Exceptional Staff

I extend my deepest gratitude to our exceptional staff for their tireless effort, dedication, and unwavering commitment throughout the year. Their passion for education has undoubtedly shaped the experiences and achievements of our students.

Appreciation for Families: Thank You for Your Continued Support

To our families, I express sincere appreciation for your continued support of your children's education. Your partnership with the school is invaluable, and together, we have a nurturing and enriching environment for our students to thrive.

Acknowledging School Councillors and Parents Committee

A special thank you to our School Councillors and Parents Committee for their hard work and commitment. Your dedication to enhancing the school community and facilitating communication between home and school has been instrumental in our success.

Gratitude to All Volunteers

I would also like to express gratitude to everyone who volunteered in various capacities throughout the year. Your contributions, whether big or small, have made a significant impact on the overall success of our school community.

In closing, as we celebrate the conclusion of the 2023 school year, let us reflect on the growth, achievements, and cherished moments that have defined our journey. I look forward to the continued collaboration and success that the new year will undoubtedly bring.

Departing Families

As we approach the end of the 2023 school year, it is with mixed emotions that we bid farewell to some of our beloved families who have been an integral part of our school community.  Particularly those departing families of our current Year 6 students.

To the families who are departing at the end of this year, we extend our warmest thanks for your unwavering support, dedication, and contributions to our school community. Your presence has enriched the lives of our students, teachers, and staff alike.

We appreciate the trust you placed in us as educators to nurture and guide your children. Together, we have witnessed the growth and development of your children, and it is truly heartening to see the young individuals they have become.

As your journey now takes you to new places, please carry with you the memories, friendships, and lessons learned during your time here. Our doors will always be open, and you will forever be a part of our school family. I wish you and your families continued success, joy, and fulfillment next year and beyond.
