Senior Years

The past fortnight has been a large one for the Senior School. We finished our final VCE Examinations, End of Year Examinations (Y11) and were busy with preparations for Presentation Evening. We farewelled our Y11 students with two wellbeing days and welcomed back our Y12 students for their Presentation Evening rehearsals. It was wonderful to have everyone together again and to reflect on all that Shelford has provided our students in their time here.

Our Y11 students celebrated their final days at Shelford with two wellbeing days and reflected on how they had embodied our theme – Stronger Together. These days included time for celebration and reflection. Students decorated mugs to take with them next year, reflected through the creation of a year level video, made dumplings together and enjoyed walking through the school grounds, including Helenslea together. We finished our time with a student led assembly, where the Y11 students reflected on their time at Shelford this year, remembering some of their favourite moments:

  • Formal
  • Wellbeing Days
  • Homegroup birthday cake celebrations
  • Going to see Despicable Me 4 together
  • School events: HPA, Athletics and Swimming.

It has been a pleasure to lead the Senior Year students in this final year of Shelford. They have led with grace, integrity, passion and lots of humour. They have embraced the challenges that this final year has thrown their way and balanced the need for reflection, celebration and persistence in their studies. We wish them all the very best for their final year of school in 2025, and we wish our Y12 cohort the very best with their upcoming results and pathways.
