It has been wonderful having lunchtime clubs run at lunchtime for our students! K-Zone is a very vibrant group that kids frequently attend. K-Zone is a kids' club with games, crafts, Lego, and more! It was run by our Grade 6 leader, Maggie, myself, and Mrs Vranken, and it was amazing to see how successful this has been! Most importantly, it has been an excellent way for students to gain more connections within the school and find people with common interests! Here are some beautiful photos from our last K-Zone! We are looking forward to beginning to do some Christmas crafts next week!
The SRC has had a busy year, regularly meeting and suggesting ways that we could make our school better! The next project the SRC students will undergo is painting the Gaga pit! As the weather is finally getting better, we can commence this project! Each class created a design for a side of the Gaga pit. We are looking forward to seeing how the Gaga pit transforms!
This week, for Friendship Groups, we played some team-building games to improve communication and teamwork skills! One of our activities was the challenge of making a tower with marshmallows and spaghetti! This was really tricky, as the marshmallows were very sticky, and the spaghetti kept breaking! The kids worked so well together, even though their tower may have broken at the end.
