News from 5/6

Year 6 Graduation

Date:  Wednesday, 11 December

Time: 6pm

Venue:  Warburton Golf Club

A Google Form has gone home today via email, asking families how many people they would like to bring to graduation.  Once all responses have been collected, and we have ensured that we can accommodate everyone, we will ask families to confirm their attendance by making the relevant payment.  The exact cost will be able to be calculated once we have an indication of the number of people we have attending.

Melbourne Walks Excursion

Next Tuesday (19th November), the students in Years 3-6 are participating in an excursion to the city.  The weather looks fine, but not too warm.  Students are travelling by bus to the Ringwood train station and then continuing to Flinders St by train.  Our guided tours commence from Federation Square.

Please be aware that the bus departs from school at 7.30am on Tuesday and students need to be at school by 7.20.  We return to Ringwood Station by 3.15 pm and, if traffic cooperates, will be back at school by 4.15pm

Lots of Assessment!

The 5/6s have been busily completing assessments this week in preparation for end of year reports. We are really proud of everyone for their hard work, concentration and determination!

Remembrance Day 11/11

A number of our Year 6 students assisted in our beautiful Remembrance Day ceremony held on the roundabout on Monday. Eli and Fynn lowered and raised the flag and Danica, Maggie, Jack, Olivia and Lexi read their parts reverently and respectfully.

MLMC Transition Visit

On Monday, one of the Year 7 coordinators for 2025 from MLMC came to visit our Year 6 students who will be attending the College. It was great for the students to meet Rachel and further a smooth transition to high school next year.
