News from Three/Four

Literacy fun with Foundation students

This week we spent the morning playing Literacy Games with the Foundation students.  This was a great opportunity to have our 3/4 students demonstrate leadership skills and responsibility in preparation for their buddy responsibilities in year 5.  There was a lot of laughter, excited chatter, and smiling faces as the Foundation students got to choose a group of year 3/4 students to work with. Here are some photos of the great morning we had together.

Writing

This week students have been finishing their information reports on Australia's neighbouring countries. It has been fantastic to learn so many interesting facts about different countries. Students will present their reports to their peers next week - we can't wait to learn even more! Here are some of the published reports.

Class Mass

On Wednesday, 3/4 students attended our class mass. Their reverence was astounding - we were very proud of you. Thanks to Mrs Asbury for taking the children and to Fr Michel for conducting the mass and letting us take a photo with you.

Hooptime

Today, Joe, Parker, Will, Noah, Oliver and Zac attended the Hooptime Allstars basketball at Kilsyth Stadium. We are sure you represented our school proudly and can't wait to hear about your day on Monday. Thanks to the parents for taking the students (and the photos 😀)

Melbourne Walks Excursion

Next Tuesday (19th November), the students in Years 3-6 are participating in an excursion to the city.  The weather looks fine, but not too warm.  Students will travel by bus to the Ringwood train station and then continue to Flinders St.  Our guided tours commence from Federation Square.

Please be aware that the bus departs from school at 7.30am on Tuesday and students need to be at school by 7.20.  We return to Ringwood Station by 3:15 pm and, if traffic cooperates, will be back at school by 4:15pm.
