SSV State Athletics:

Congratulations to the following students who competed at SSV State Athletics on Wednesday 6th November @ Lakeside Athletics Track. The girls had an amazing day at the track and came home with some outstanding results. Milgate’s best Athletics results in many years and thanks to all the parents for their support getting the students to and from the various events over the past few months.

  • Olivia G ~ 9/10yr Girls in the 100m place 4th, 200m placed 3rd & Circular Relay placed 4th.
  • Charlene L ~ 9/10yr Girls Circular Relay placed 4th.
  • Alyssa C ~ 9/10yr Girls Circular Relay placed 4th.
  • Lily C ~ 9/10yr Girls Circular Relay placed 4th.
  • Harper H ~ 12/13yr Girls 80m Hurdles placed 1st & 100m placed 1st

 

Foundation – Yr. 2 House Sports

On Tuesday 12th November, all the Foundation – Yr. 2 students will participate in their annual House Sports @ Milgate PS, from 9:15am – 10:30am. We are busy practicing for all the events during PE over the coming weeks. The students are encouraged to wear their House Colours on this day and parents, grandparents, etc are very welcome to come along and support their children. We are looking forward to a fantastic morning of sport and friendly competition.

Sporting Achievement

Congratulations to Olivia G (5KB) who recently competed at the Victorian Junior Gymnastics Championships. All Olivia’s hard work this year paid off by placing 1st in Vault and Floor. As well as being named All Around Champion for Level 7 (10 Years and Under) for 2024. This is an outstanding effort by Olivia and the Milgate community is extremely proud of what you have achieved. Keep up the terrific work and all the best with your gymnastics in the future.

 

Yr. 4 Bike Education Program:

During the week on Monday 25th – Friday 29th November, all the Yr. 4 students will be participating in a weeklong Bike Education Program. The first four days of the program will be based at Milgate PS and the students will practice their riding skills both on and off the school grounds. All riding outside the school will be on footpaths or bike tracks. On the Friday will ride from Milgate to Westerfolds Park along the Mullum Mullum Trail and Main Yarra Trails.
