The Men's Singing Shed
The accompanying photo appeared in the Mercury recently. The middle of the three choristers is former student Dayne Johnson (svc 1986-91). The article by Elise Kaine was flagging the absence of males from the local choir scene (only about 15%) and promoting the Men’s Singing Shed.
A new programme looks to encourages men to join a choir culminating in pop-up performances in the city, singing in hospital wards and at the Lenah Valley Carols at John Turnbull Park on 7 December.
On leaving school, Dayne Bachelor completed a Bachelor of Arts and Laws (Hons.)- Law/Political Science - at UTAS. Whilst there, Dayne served as President of the University Law Society for a period.
Dayne is currently a partner at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers in Hobart.
