Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey

Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement.

Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.

The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will be open online from Monday 29 July to Friday 30 August 2024. A random sample of parents/caregivers/guardians have been selected to participate in this year’s survey.

School Crossing Information

The Safe Around Schools program highlights the collective responsibility of the council, schools, parents, and students for road safety. To ensure the safety of everyone in the Cranbourne East Secondary College community, the City of Casey has provided information on safely using school crossings.

This information is available in seven languages to ensure it is accessible to all. Please see the flyer below or visit the City of Casey website if you would like more information.

Student Information & Family Employment Letters

Victorian schools are required to collect and enter details of each student and their family into the Department of Education and Training software. All schools in Victoria are primarily funded according to the information provided by the parent/guardian/carer concerning their current occupation and or completed level of education.

This information is strictly confidential and used only to collect aggregate data. By no means is this information considered or used for anything other than its required intent.

The student information detail form is available from the Department of Education and is translated into five other languages that are most commonly used within the Cranbourne East Secondary College community, making it accessible to all.

Please check all the sections and make alterations to the form. The student information detail form is then to be handed back to the Administration Assistant in the relevant year level as soon as possible.

Hands On Learning - Bayside Newspaper

Some exciting news!! One of our Hands On Learning students, Noah from Year 10, was featured in the Bayside Newspaper for his contribution to the 'much needed facelift' of the hall at Longbeach Anglican Church - St Chads.

An excerpt from the Bayside Newspaper;

"Hands On Learning network development manager Zoe Wilson said the students had made a big improvement to the Thames Promenade hall. She said “the Longbeach Community Hall in Chelsea is an important community gathering place but was in need of a fresh coat of paint as well as some TLC for the garden.”

Hands On Learning is administered by Save the Children. The program, founded 25 years ago by Frankston teacher Russell Kerr, aims to improve student engagement and attendance by giving them hands-on projects to tackle. 140 Victorian schools run the program and one of our students was recognised for their hard work in the local newspaper.

Thank you to all of the year 10 Hands On Learning Group for their hard work and wonderful contribution to the community. Your hard work has not gone unnoticed!
