To kick off Term 3 our Senior Inter School Teams were in action. We had a boys futsal team entered in the new competition added to our division this year. The boys started the day of excellently winning their first couple of matches in extremely wet and cold conditions. The boys didn't let the weather dampen their final soccer tournament for CESC displaying strong teamwork, camaraderie and respect for one another. We also had two senior boys table tennis teams in action at Dandenong Tennis Association. Both teams competed well coming up against some strong opposition. The boys demonstrated grit and determination as they participated in some closely fort matches. The boys Handball team travelled to Casey Stadium where they remained unbeaten all day. Lastly our senior boys A and B basketball teams travelled to Casey stadium where the B team remained unbeaten all day. The A team narrowly missed out on progressing to region by drawing with Narre Warren P12.
Our division winning Year 7 girls netball team travelled to Gloria Pyke Netball Complex in Dandenong to take on the winners of the other divisions. Despite only having 7 girls the team they put on a strong performance. The girls only narrowly missed out on progressing to state, so we are excited to see this team progress as they continue their journey at CESC.
We have our Intermediate Year 9 and 10 school sport heading out on Monday 19th August. Closely followed by our Year 7 sport on Tuesday 27th August. We also have our Division Athletics on Monday the 9th of September. Currently we have over 90 students entered to represent CESC in different events across the day. We look forward to a positive day competing against the local schools.
