Dear Parents, Carers, and Students,
This week, our whole school has been focusing on the important character strength of gratitude. Gratitude is the quality of being thankful and showing appreciation for the kindness of others and the good things in our lives.
The students have been engaging in various activities centered around gratitude. They have shared what they are thankful for, written gratitude letters, and participated in discussions about the importance of recognising and expressing appreciation. It's been heartwarming to see our students embrace this character strength with such enthusiasm.
To extend this focus on gratitude beyond the classroom, we encourage all families to take part in the 'Gratitude Brick' activity that was sent home with the eldest child in each family on Monday. Each family is invited to decorate a paper brick with words, drawings, or symbols that represent what they are grateful for. These bricks will be used to build a beautiful gratitude wall on the LARC windows, serving as a visual reminder of the many things we appreciate in our lives.
If you haven't yet completed your Gratitude Brick, please take a few moments to do so and return it to school. We are excited to see our gratitude wall grow with contributions from all our families. A heartfelt thank you to those who have already submitted their bricks, your participation is greatly appreciated and helps to foster a positive and gratef school environment.
Let's continue to practice gratitude every day and celebrate the many blessings we share as a school community.
Warm regards,
Melina James
