From the Year Prep Classroom

In Reading we have started to learn about Fiction Texts and have begun to learn about the Beginning, Middle and End. We loved learning about the Beginning, Middle and End in the fiction text, How to Catch a Star! 

In Writing we have been working really hard to record the sounds we hear in words and to write a 'good' sentence. We have also been retelling Fiction texts using a Beginning, Middle and End template. 

In Maths we have been working hard to count backwards from 20 and we have been reviewing our learning about Addition and Subtraction. We learnt a new tricky strategy last week where we know we can ‘conserve’ (lock in our head) the bigger number and count on to solve some Addition problems. 

In Religion we are beginning to learn about Baptism! 

Other News- We LOVED our day at the Wangaratta Theatre! We also loved Apex Park. The children were so respectful and we had the best day! Check out Facebook for some happy snaps.
