Sacred Heart Day Feast

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our Mass, last Friday to celebrate Sacred Heart Feast Day. It was a lovely celebration for the two schools with the students responding and singing beautifully and  fully engaged in our celebration. Following Mass our Year 6 Justice leaders along with the College captains presented a cheque to Mary Mansfield from our local Vinnies branch as part of their Winter Appeal. We also presented our Catherine McAuley Award to Year 6 student Ivy Connell. This special award was presented by Sr Helen Glasheen. This award acknowledges Ivy and is for always displaying our Mercy Values of compassion, respect, hospitality, justice, courage and Service, inspired by the founder of the Mercy Sisters, Catherine McAuley .

Following Mass we held our Sacred Heart Has Talent extravaganza. With 33 acts ranging from comedians, dancers, artists, singers,  mime artists, bull riders , a guitarist and gymnasts we were treated to a feast of talent. Well done to all our entrants; to Elzah and Ava for being our MCs as well as Zarlee Carroll for her backstage work along with Ms Fountain and Ms Cardamone. It was a great Sacred Heart Day all round.

Confirmation/ First Eucharist

Our candidates have been busy preparing for the ceremony which is Saturday June 22nd. Spirit Day, due to a clash of events will now be held on Thursday June 20th. A final information note about the ceremony will be sent home tomorrow. This will also contain the white Confirmation Card which is used to update the Parish register. This must be fully filled in (both sides) and returned to me before next Tuesday.

Any children across the school who would like to join our choir for the Ceremony are very welcome. Please email me if your child would like to  be a part of the choir.

Have a great week.
