Assistant Principal Reports

 Deanne Scott/Spira Antonopoulos

Hello Everyone,

Call for Volunteers

Our breakfast Club program school volunteer, Ms Rita, is going on leave for the first 4 weeks of Term 3, so we are seeking a parent volunteer to assist with the set-up, cooking of toast and clean-up. We would really appreciate someone who may be able to commit to Monday mornings, however, assistance on our other mornings would also be welcome (that’s Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).

Set-up begins at 8am, with students coming in at 8.30am until 8.45am, then it’s clean-up until 9am. If you would like to bring your child/ren along with you, that’s ok, as long as they are students at our school and remain with you in the breakfast club room until 8.45am.

If you have some time available, and are interested, please see Ms Scott as soon as possible for further information.

Breakfast club will begin on Tuesday the 26th of July.

Child safety and wellbeing at Deer Park West Primary School:

Information for families and the school community

The Child Safe Standards recognise the critical importance of families and the broader school community in maintaining and promoting child safety and wellbeing.

Deer Park West Primary is in the process of reviewing and updating some of our child safety policies and procedures. We are currently reviewing our Child Safety Responding & Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedure. We are committed to continuous improvement in our approach to child safety and wellbeing and welcome feedback from families and members of our school community on ways we can further strengthen our child safety policies, procedures and practices. This policy is available to view on our school’s website, or you can ask for a copy at the school’s front office.

If you have any suggestions, comments or questions, please contact Ms Scott, our assistant principal. Any feedback is required by 3.30pm on Friday 19th of July.
