Volleyball Schools' Cup

Northcote win Gold at the Volleyball Schools' Cup

The Three-Day Schools Cup volleyball tournament was so fun! All the NHS teams played very well and improved so much over the three days.

The Year 8 Girls won GOLD, against Tintern Grammer! This is Northcote’s first gold medal in two years!

The Year 7 Girls won a bronze medal, which is very exciting and an amazing effort. The Year 7 Girls also played Tintern Grammer. Even though the Year 7/8 and Year 9 boys didn’t make finals, everyone played well and tried their best. They all put a lot of effort into their games and supported each other, on and off the court.

The Year 9 Girls also played amazing volleyball. They played for a bronze medal against Upwey but unfortunately lost. Even though they didn’t walk away with a medal they had some great hits and fantastic blocks. Overall, this was one of the best tournaments ever with everyone loving it!

A HUGE congratulations to Alice Ryan for receiving The Most Valuable Player award in the Year 7 Girls division. The Northcote staff and coaches are very proud of you Alice, Well done!

Thank you to all of the NHS teachers and staff that drove the buses and supervised the students over the three very long days. A special shout out to Nick Cooke who captured some great moments throughout the tournament with his amazing photography skills.
