School Easter Fete Next Week

Can we beat last year's target for our Eggnormous Easter Fete Mega Raffle?  In 2023 we received a record of 198 easter eggs donated for the Monster Raffle!  Thanks for the donations so far - we have 154 Easter Eggs. The classroom who donates the most wins a prize.   We are hoping to have as many as 20 prize draws.

A reminder that we will be holding the annual school fete on the last day of Term 1, Thursday 28th March commencing at 10 am. As it is the last day of term school, we will finish the fete at 2:00 pm with presentations completed by 2:30 pm.

This will be a casual clothes day, along with BBQ lunch and baked potatoes available for lunch. Community stall holders have once again answered the call. All friends, family and community members are most welcome to attend.   Our Parents & Friends Association has already started with the annual Mega Easter Raffle so don't forget to return your tickets.

Year Six Leaders Shirts

Yesterday the year six students were presented with their personalised Year six leadership shirt, 'Be An Active Learner!'  These shirts were a gift to all students in year six on behalf of Wedderburn College.  All students have a leadership role for 2024 and will participate as leaders of the Primary section of the school organising special activities and events for all students to enjoy.  We do have high expectations and expect the students to follow the expected behaviours matrix of  being positive role models for the younger students.

End of Term 1

It is hard to believe we are fast approaching the end of Term 1.   A reminder to parents that we finish school at 2:30 next Thursday 28th March.   There will be no after school care available after school that day.    School resumes on Monday 15th April.  School progress reports will be sent home next week and our first Learning Conversations will be on Wednesday 17th April.   Interviews for these Learning Conversations will be able to be booked very shortly.    A reminder at the end of week 2, ANZAC Day will be observed with a national public holiday on 25th of April and Friday 26th of April is a long weekend for parents as it is a Professional Learning day for all staff.   Please make sure you keep reading the school yearly calendar of events.
