What's happening?

Facilities Upgrades

A few weeks ago, work began replacing our original fence around the bottom oval. We have been working with DfE during the past 18 months to have this happen, increasing the safety of our students. The project should be completed by the end of the holidays.

In last years' State Budget, it was announced that we would receive funding to upgrade our student toilets in the Vista building. This has been long awaited and we are excited to say that this will begin during the school holidays. Work will begin on the ground floor toilets and when complete, move to the upstairs. Arrangements have been made to ensure we have adequate toilets accessible to students during this time. We are really looking forward to having this project complete.

During the holidays you may also notice a new sign being installed on our fenceline by the playground. Keep a look out for this. It will be another great way for us to communicate with our families and the community.

Day 1 Term 2

On the first day of next term, our students will be participating in a whole school team building fun day run by Active Education. This will be a great start to the term, promoting teamwork and resilience and setting our path for the learning in the term ahead. Students still need to wear school uniform and be in class as normal to start the day. We can't wait to share our learning and some photos with you all after the day.

Uniforms

It's been great to see most of our students wearing school uniform on their return to school this year. Uniform is an important part of belonging to our school community and following our whole school expectations and we are happy to support anyone having difficulty in sourcing the items included in our guidelines. We understand that an item may not be available for a child to wear at times but do ask that this is communicated with your child's class teacher so we can support.

Our uniform shop has well-priced items for sale. These can be purchased from the office or on Qkr!

Values Awards

Our Values Awards are announced at each assembly. Staff are looking to acknowledge students who are demonstrating any of our 3 values, Respect, Honesty and Courage, throughout the school day. This could be in learning time, when moving around the school or visiting different areas such as the office. Below are our winners from the week 10 assembly.
