Taking Writing to the Next Level

In year 2, students have been exploring the art of storytelling by creating detailed story maps. By drawing pictures to represent different parts of a story, students have been able to visualise a sequence of events and develop a deeper understanding of story structure. This visual aid has helped students to organise their ideas and plan their writing more effectively. By incorporating detailed story maps into their writing process, students have been able to not only enhance the overall quality of their stories but also improve their ability to express themselves creatively. This method has allowed students to experiment with the setting of their story and their characters, leading to more engaging and dynamic narratives.
