Collaboration and Teamwork

We're absolutely delighted to share with you just how impressed we are with the amazing collaboration and teamwork shown by our level 1 students this term! We wanted to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in our classrooms, so we designed several activities to encourage students to get to know each other better and build connections. And, we're thrilled to report that we have seen some fantastic new friendships blossom over the term! It's wonderful to see our students supporting each other and working together so well. We're really proud of them, and couldn't be happier with the results!

Grade 6 Science Leaders' set Grade 1s a STEM challenge

Grade 6 Science Leaders team set up a STEM challenge. Grade1s worked in a team with their grade 6 buddies to create a boat made using only an A4 sized piece of foil. The aim was to see how many marbles the boat could hold. All the students planned and created their boats with their buddies. They then took it outside to test it in tubs full of water. Science leaders recorded the results. First and second place teams from each Grade 1 received a winning star at Assembly. The maximum marbles held was 107!!! Who knew a piece of foil could hold that many marbles!!!

Hat Making With Buddies

Students worked with their buddies to create hats this week's hat parade and had loads of fun! Some beautiful creations were made!!

Gardening with Mar Marco!

Science with Wilko has been a hug success this term! He always makes our Science lesson so fun and interactive! This week students had to design their own fish tank for their 'sushi' fish. Then they had to figure out a way to transfer their fish to a bugger tank without using their hands. Lots of creative minds in Level 1!
