Sport /Art

In P.E, students have begun exploring tennis as a sport.
Junior students have been familiarising themselves with the tennis racquet and what amount of strength is required to propel the ball over a certain distance. Students have also experimented with using sports equipment to create their own tennis skills challenges.
Senior students have been refining their forehand strike and begun familiarising themselves with a tennis serve. Students have observed the timing and precision required to perform both different sets of skills and discussed the rules involved in playing a game of Hot Shots Tennis
In Performing Arts, students have experimented with rhythm and beats within music.
Junior students have used clapping sticks and tambourines to follow along with a series of beats and have experimented with making their own music compositions and attempted to recreate parts of songs using these instruments.
Senior students have used a variety of instruments and practised improvisation with playing music and writing lyrics. Students were given a word to create a song out of then given 3 minutes to write something. It was amazing what was produced with little time and preparation!
Cricket Blast Report
On Thursday the 30th of October, Mr Barker and Kaylene took 17 enthusiastic students to participate in the interschool Cricket Blast Tournament. Both the boys and girls teams improved as each game happened, with a few students getting on the board with some 4’s and 6’s, along with a few different students taking multiple wickets through the day. Our girls team walked away with one win, whilst our boys had several individual highlights. A big thank you to Mark Riley for assisting with scoring for our girls team on the day.
