Grade 2/3/4

It is now week 5 of Term 4 and are now starting testing in Literacy and Mathematics! This is a great time to see the growth and achievements in students' learning and celebrate these!

In Literacy, we have been using the context of Charlotte's Web to write recounts and narratives. The students have enjoyed corporating the elements from the text into their Writing. We have also been keeping up with our fluency read routines and they have developed confidence in their reading abilities, which has been great to see!

In Numeracy, we have been looking at all Mathematical strands as the students have undertaken testing in Number, Algebra, Space, Probability, Measurement and Statistics. They have also been looking at 3D shapes and were excited to have the models of the shapes and extend their learning of faces, vertices and edges.

In Humanities, we have been exploring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander connection  to Country and various Indigenous languages around the country. The 2/3/4's learnt about different woods in Noongar language such as Bindi Bindi- butterfly, Quenda- bandicoot and Norn- snake, which they enjoyed learning about.
