Grade Prep/1

We’re already in Week 5—the term is flying by! It’s hard to believe that our Prep/1 students will soon be moving into Year 1 and Year 2 in just a few short months.

In Reading, we’ve been exploring The Imagineer and My Two Blankets. The students have enjoyed learning about Cartwheel and her journey moving from her old home because of the war, as well as Penny and her wonderful imagination and creative inventions.

In Writing, we’ve been focusing on building strong sentences, and the students have become fantastic sentence writers! We’ve also started learning a little about alliteration, which has been lots of fun.

In Maths, we’ve been learning about ordinal position, left and right, and how to give and follow directions.
