Cumberland Zone Athletics Carnival

A huge congratulations to Jessica Leke, who proudly represented St Margaret Mary’s at the NSW PSSA Athletics Championships held at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre on the 22nd and 23rd of October.

Jessica competed in the 9 Years 100 metres event. In the preliminary heats, she recorded an impressive time of 14.51 seconds, qualifying 9th for the semi-finals. She then improved her time to 14.21 seconds, placing 3rd and securing her spot in the finals. In a highly competitive final, Jessica finished 4th overall with a time of 14.61 seconds. We are extremely proud of Jessica’s outstanding performance and commend her dedication, sportsmanship, and exceptional athletic talent.

2026 Parramatta Diocese Team Sport Trials

Expression of Interest registration window open - BASKETBALL & TENNIS ONLY

The following sports are now open for nominations:

• Basketball & Tennis – closing date: 31st October 2025

2026 Trial Dates

• Basketball – 18th November 2025
• Tennis – 18th November 2025

Please note: All other team sports will open from 27th November 2025.

Eligibility

• Students must be enrolled in Years 5 and 6 in 2026 to nominate.
• Students in Year 4 (2026) may nominate for Basketball, Hockey, Softball, Tennis, and Touch Football only.
• These trials are generally for students who demonstrate an above-average ability, a high level of skill development, or in some sports, representative playing experience.
• In most sports, students should have regular competition experience outside of school.

Representative Sport Shirts

Just a gentle reminder that if your child has worn/borrowed one of the St Margaret Mary’s representative singlets/shirts to please return it as soon as possible. We still have quite a few missing from the gala days and Athletics.
