Level 2

As we move toward the end of the year, we continue to build on our learning through meaningful revision and engaging activities that strengthen the skills students have been developing.

Reading

In Reading, students are participating in Readers’ Theatre, which has been a fun and purposeful way to build confidence in speaking and listening. Through rehearsing and performing scripts, students are improving their expression, fluency, and ability to read with meaning, while also developing their teamwork and cooperation skills.

Writing

In Writing, we are continuing our focus on narrative texts. Students are revising their stories with an emphasis on growing sentence fluency, improving structure, and using more descriptive language. They are also practising editing and refining their work to ensure clarity and organisation in their writing.

Maths

In Maths, we are revisiting key concepts with a strong focus on number and place value. Students are applying their understanding through hands-on activities, games, and problem-solving tasks. We are also revising space and measurement, reinforcing ideas such as shape properties, length, and capacity.

Inquiry

Our Inquiry unit continues to explore space, with students applying their knowledge by working collaboratively to design and build models of the Solar System. This has encouraged critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork as they demonstrate their understanding in practical ways.

Some Fun Adventures

We have also enjoyed some exciting experiences outside the classroom. Students explored basic gymnastics skills, and it was wonderful to watch them step out of their comfort zones, challenge themselves, and attempt new movements with confidence and enthusiasm. 

We also celebrated National Fairy Bread Day, which added some extra fun to our week with a delicious treat.
